Auditory Memory: Recalling Sentences (3-5 Words)

I have the hardest time thinking of short sentences on the spot when working on recalling sentences in therapy.  I guess I just can't think and count that quickly!  Here is a list of 3, 4, and 5 word sentences that you can use with any game or that you can send home as homework.  I like to use games like Pop-Up Pirate that allow for lots of trials!

Has anyone else noticed that it's harder for kids to recall questions than statements?  I think their brains automatically want to answer the questions rather than remember the words.

Auditory Memory: Recalling Details in Sentences

I made this worksheet to work on recalling two details in a sentence by answering wh comprehension questions.  I work on this goal before working on recalling details in short (3-4 sentence) paragraphs and then in longer stories.

Auditory Memory: Recalling Sentences Containing 8-10 Words

I made this list of sentences containing 8-10 words for a client who has trouble remembering and recalling details in sentences.  We are working at the auditory memory level first but are moving towards answering questions about the details in the sentences (auditory comprehension).  I encourage him to visualize what's going on in the sentence as he hears it and to use a "chunking" strategy for longer sentences.
